special request of some of our needs in July, 2009.

Special Request

Dear friends and subscribers to "The Ranch" newsletter,

I could use your help!

As many of you know, our ministry is supported entirely by donations from people like you, and we're starting to hit our "summer slump."

If you've thought about making a donation to the ministry, but haven't done so yet, this would be a great time to do it! And if you've never thought about making a donation to our ministry, this would be a great time to do it, too!

While there's no obligation to make a donation to continue receiving any of our ministry resources, I know that some of you like to know our needs from time to time, so I wanted to share some of them with you today.

In addition to our general needs this summer, here are three others that you might be interested in helping with:

1) I'm needing a new computer...my desktop computer is starting to wear out after five years of faithful service to me day and night. The hard disk has filled up many times and I'm running out of things to delete...the built-in monitor went out a few months ago and I've plugged in a temporary one to keep me going. It's still hanging in there, but I'll need to replace it soon before it wears out completely. The cost for a new one is about $1,500.

2) While we've almost finished completely remodeling the kitchen at Clover Ranch, the final piece we still need is a counter-top for the cabinets. We had budgeted for an inexpensive one, but since this is a guest-house, we feel we need one that's more durable for the upcoming years of wear and tear. The cost is somewhere between $1,600 and $2,300.

3) I've had a number of people write to me who want to go with us on our trip to Israel, but can't afford it. I'd like to see if we can raise some money to help them to get there. We have a wonderful group of young people going right now whose lives will be changed as a result of the trip. While you may not be able to go yourself, you may be able to help someone else to go. The cost per person is about $3,000, but people have been sending gifts of $20, $40 and $100, which really adds up and helps out greatly.

So if any of these special needs strikes you, or if you'd like to make a contribution to help us through our "summer slump," we'd be glad for your help! Just note on your donation where you'd like it to be applied.
