ave a story to tell? Let us know and we'd like to consider posting it on The Ranch. Someone else is probably going through exactly what you've gone through and needs to hear that there is still hope.

Send Us A Story

Do you have a story to share about how God has touched your life?  We're especially interested in stories that will give hope to people who are going through things that God may have already brought you through.

The Bible says we can lift each other up:

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

The Value Of Your Story

The words of your testimony are like gold to God. They are precious and lasting. They have the power to change lives. Even Satan is overcome by them. Here are some thoughts to consider as you think about sharing what God has done in your life.

What kind of stories should I share?

Feel free to share any encounter you have had with the living God where He has shown himself faithful. Testimonies of initial conversion to Christ are certainly encouraged, but don't feel limited to just that encounter with God. In the Bible, we find people like Moses who shared encounter after encounter, from the burning bush to the parting of the sea, from manna in the desert to the final approach to the promised land. Each encourages us in a different way.

Your stories may be short or long, comical or intense, incredible or ordinary. God uses different means to reach different people. So share as God leads you.

What if I can't put my story into words very well?

You're in good company. Moses said to the Lord,

"O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue." The Lord said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and teach you what to say." (Exodus 4:10-12, NIV)

You can trust God that if he wants you to share your story, he'll make it perfect. Yet, even Moses still argued on this point, and God sent someone else to go with him to speak with more eloquence. So even if you're still uncomfortable with your own abilities, we'll be glad to help you put your story into words. We'd like to see the stories told rather than held back for some reason.

Tips when telling the story

When sharing your story, please be as honest as you can be before God to the details and facts of the story. God’s works are incredible on their own and do not need any embellishment or enhancing for sensational value.

Also, this is not meant to be a showcase for the sinfulness of man, but for the power of God. At times it may be necessary to share some details of sin to show the power of God, but please do not bring unnecessary attention to elements which are already much too glorified in the world.

Please include any biblical references along with your story that would point people back to the Word of God. A living testimony that sheds light on the living Word draws people further into their own search of the scriptures for answers.

Will my story automatically be included on this website?

Although we aren't able to post all stories on this website that are sent to us, we want to thank you in advance for letting us consider it.

Can I remain anonymous?

We encourage you to use your real name, if possible, to lend openness and credibility to your story. In addition, if you would be willing to take follow-up questions from people who have seen your story, you will have that opportunity by making your email ID available. We cannot assume responsibility for the people who contact you, but are making that option available because it may make the difference in someone’s life.

Thanks for your willingness to document your testimony so others may be encouraged in their faith.

A few Scriptures from the New Testament to further encourage you to share your story

John tells why he wrote a book of testimonies

John 20:30-31 - Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Luke tells why he wrote a book of testimonies

Luke 1:1-4 - Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

Paul tells King Agrippa about his call from Christ to testify

Acts 26:13-18 - About noon, O king, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions. We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, 'Saul, Saul, [also called Paul] why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' "Then I asked, 'Who are you, Lord?' "'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,' the Lord replied. 'Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'

Peter and John tell the rulers why they must continue to testify

Acts 4:16-20 - "What are we going to do with these men?" [the rulers and elders asked]. "Everybody living in Jerusalem knows they have done an outstanding miracle, and we cannot deny it. But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn these men to speak no longer to anyone in this name." Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, "Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard."

The apostles testified with power

Acts 4:33 - With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all.

Jesus testified about himself

John 8:17-18 "In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid. I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me."

Jesus tells his disciples they too will be witnesses

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

The words of our testimony have power to overcome even Satan

Rev 12:11 - They overcame him [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
