Marie Morrison has written a touching piece to "be a voice for the voiceless, a mouthpiece for those who can't speak for themselves." The title of this song, "Deliver Me" has a poignant double-meaning: it's both a cry from a baby in the womb, and a cry from the mother caught in a difficult dilemma. The conclusion of the song comes directly from Psalm 72:12-14, a word from God to the helpless and weak, and to the church.
This beautiful recording was produced by David Hyde, and sung by Wayne Kerr and Sarah Welch. You can also see the lyrics and chord chart here, or contact Marie for background tracks or performance rights (perhaps for a church service on pro-life Sunday in January) at marie.morr(at)earthlink.net.

I met Bobby Paver at a Junior High Camp at which I was speaking during the summer of 2005. He shared with me the words to a song he had recently written which captures his desire to encourage everyone to break free of the of the prison which holds them back from Christ. I think the words are especially meaningful for those in his generation who crave more, but need encouragement to take the step of faith to actually break free.
(Verse 1) Cold bars are hold'n me back Cold bones no longer intact I see dim lights from the west Where people are free and free to rest
My heart craves beyond the ocean My heart craves beyond the sea This is our time to finally break free And this is our time to get away
(Chorus) Let's abandon this prison Get away from this hell Come set sail to the Ocean I hear heaven's bells And we'll live there forever and forever more enjoying the freedom the freedom they tell
(Verse 2) I am scared I am a coward Too afraid to move on Too afraid to go forward But this is our time Please join me brothers This is our time to unite as one
(Verse 3) This prison is nasty Blood runs down to the floor How I wish to get out Can't take it anymore Lord, help me I'm dying Finally see you at last Somehow I know that this is my last request
Abandon the prison Burn the walls to the ground 'Cuz if you burn the old prison You'll hear heaven's bells
Here's a heartfelt song from a website visitor from Russellville, Arkansas, Jerry Boriboun, called Beauty of Creation. You can listen to his MP3 version of this song below the lyrics.
Beauty of Creation
Verse: You are the morning of this world The flowing river with no end How does the birds learn to fly? What gives the sun to shine so bright? Does the ocean reflect the sky, O God?
Chorus: All creation cries to You Let Your name revert these eyes People bow down all to You The burning desire is in me
Verse: You are the sunset of this world Wonderful light of the night Why are there so many stars? Does it reflect the people's heart? Is there is path that is set for me?
What I can I do to find Your love? Where can I go to seek Your grace? How can I see Your face finally?
